PAPER MEMOIRS by Ishita Chowdhary
ARTIST STATEMENT
“I believe paper speaks a language of its own. Each collection is driven by an inner dialogue and is an expression of my thoughts and emotions. For me, creating art gives me an opportunity to connect with myself, to voice an opinion, to share an idea, to learn from others, thereby providing an avenue for more meaningful and engaging conversations. I also often reflect about the interconnectedness of nature and life, and I absolutely love to weave such stories with pieces of paper and bring them to life!”
Ishita Chowdhary | Mumbai, India.
MY STUDIO PRACTICE
combines hand-cut paper with watercolours, waterproof inks, photo inks, thread, leaves, seeds and found natural materials. Every collection begins with observation and evolves slowly through experimentation.

“Paper speaks a language of its own.”
THE LITTLE ELFINS
began as a way of transforming memories into handcrafted paper keepsakes. Over time, that practice evolved into creating layered paper artworks inspired by nature, emotion and storytelling.
Whether you’re looking for a commissioned artwork, a collector piece, or would simply like to start a conversation, I’d love to hear from you.
Let’s create something meaningful together!
